Here is an up to date journal of my music adventures…
January 17th, 2008: I performed my song, “What a Soldier Left Behind”, live with the Royal Canadian Artillery Band in Edmonton, Alberta at the soldiers’ farewell parade prior to being deployed to Afghanistan. I received two commendations, one from my Colonel and one from my General, for the song. The performance can be viewed here on EltonAdams.com.
February 25th, 2008: I recorded four demo tracks: “Hard”, “Shut-Up”, “What a Soldier Left Behind”, and “Beat-Up”, at Denmark Productions Recording Studio, Halifax. Songs were recorded by award-winning engineer and producer, Dennis Field. Dennis has received multiple nominations for ECMA’s, MIANS, and Music Nova Scotia awards.
February 28th, 2008: I departed for my military tour (Roto-5) to Afghanistan.
March 20th, 2008: I performed my song, “What a Soldier Left Behind” live in Afghanistan with Canada’s beloved rock band, Blue Rodeo. I received another commendation for the song from Canada’s retired Chief of Defense Staff, General Rick Hillier. The performance can be viewed on EltonAdams.com.
May 21st, 2008: I signed a music deal for my demo “Shut-Up” with a major UK distribution company, Matchbox Recordings. “Shut-Up” will be released on a compilation album, Tour de Force 1, on December 8th, 2008.
September 23rd, 2008: I returned to Canada from Afghanistan. I’m glad to be home!
October 2nd, 2008: I returned to Denmark Productions and continued recording for my first album.
October 6th, 2008: I signed another music deal with Matchbox Recordings, for my up and coming album. My self-titled project will be released in the UK on March 2, 2009.
October 17th, 2008: My single “Shut-Up” was placed on the Matchbox 24 Internet Radio Station. It has climbed to #22 on a chart of 95 top worldwide indie artists.
November 20th, 2008: My album was completely mixed.
November 27th, 2008: EltonAdams.com went live.
November 28th, 2008: My album was mastered and the design project began.
December 1st, 2008: “Shut-Up” sits at #23 on Matchbox 24 Internet Radio and has been holding that position for 6 weeks!
December 8th, 2008: The album “Elton Adams” is released in Canada and is for sale through PayPal on EltonAdams.com
December 9th, 2008: Elton’s song “Shut Up” is released on a compilation album titled Tour De Force 1.
January 17, 2009: Elton’s song “Candy” is on the voting list for the East Coast Countdown…vote for him so his song can make the Top 10!
January 30, 2009: Elton’s songs “What A Soldier Left Behind”, “Candy”, “Dancing” and “Miss You Like Hell” debut on Matchbox 24 Internet radio Top 100 chart.
February 14, 2009: “Shut Up” moves to the #19 position and “Miss You Like Hell” to the #36 position on the Matchbox 24 internet radio top 100 songs.
February 17th, 2009: Elton featured in St. John’s, The Telegram article “I taught guitar lessons after rocket attacks”
March 20th, 2009: Elton’s album releases world wide on iTunes!
April 20, 2009: Elton’s 5 songs on the Matchbox 24 radio pass the top 30, Candy # 28, Dancing # 27, What a soldier left behind # 26, Miss you like hell # 25 and Shut-up # 12
May 30, 2009: Elton’s song candy reached #5 for the top indie song on the largest modern rock internet station Spiderwebradio
June 13, 2009: Elton will be performing is first rock show since the release of his album, at the Boomer’s Legacy fundrasier, Courtenay British Columbia.
June 13, 2009: While performing at the Boomer’s Legacy fundraiser in Courtenay British Columbia, Elton received two Coins of Excellence, one from our Chief of Defence Staff and the other from Boomers Legacy.
July 17, 2009: Elton was video interviewed by the Army news. Elton’s profile interview, will soon be aired for the world to see.
July 19, 2009: Elton’s song “What a Soldier Left Behind”, reached # 19 on the top 40 countdown in Chili.
July 23, 2009: Elton song’s, Shut-up, and Miss You Like Hell were released on Elton’s second compilation album, Halifax Plugged in 8.
August 28, 2009: Elton submitted his album to the East Coast Music Awards: ECMA’s
September 5, 2009: Elton;s song “Dancing” went to #1 of the Indie Charts on SpiderWebRadio
September 6, 2009: Elton begins a fundraiser for charity. Every album that is purchased on EltonAdams.com, $4.00 will be donated to the Solier-On Charity )a charity for ill and injured Canadian soldiers)

November 28, 2009: Elton performs at the Edmonton Winspear Center with the RCA band and recieve’s a coin of excellence from General Jorgenson(LFWA Commander). A concert for the Make A Wish foundation and Support the Troops.
December 28 2009: Elton performs at the Royal Canadian Legion in Calgary.
January 15 2010: Elton records two songs, “What a soldier Left Behind” and Freedom Fighters” with the Edmonton RCA band.
March 2010: Elton performs at a “support troops with PTSD” conference in Moncton, Newbrunswick.
March 30 2010: Elton Releases his first music video, Miss You Like Hell”.
May 8 2010: Elton performs at the Andrew Dunn memorial walk in Oakbank, Manitoba.
May 25 2010: Elton releases a video tribute for soldiers with PTSD with his song “Hard”, reaching 50,000 views in 14 weeks.
July 17 2010: Elton performs at the Band of Brothers event in Norwood Ontario.
Sep 7 2010: Elton’s album is selected by Project Not Forgotten to be placed in care packages for injuried American soldiers (hundreds of albums are predicted to be purchased by PNF)
Sep 23 2010: Elton is interviewed by actor/author Nadia Sahari.
Sep 25 2010: Elton performs at the rock and roll marathon, Niverville, Manitoba.
Sep 28 2010: Elton performs on Winnipeg City TV, Breakfast television.
Oct 9 2010: Elton performs at the Andrew Dunn memorial, fundraiser in Oakbank, MB.
Oct 21 2010: Elton performs on Winnipeg City TV, Breakfast television for a Remembrance Day special.
Nov 8 2010: Elton performs , ”What A Soldier Left Behind” and “Boy Outside The Wire” live to the 60,000 listeners of Winnipegs CHVN 95.1.
Nov 14 2010: Elton performs , ”What A Soldier Left Behind” at Winnipegs Riverwood chruch.
Nov 26 2010: Elton performs live at “Aqua Books”, Winnipeg, MB.
Dec 3 2010: Elton returns to the studio, “Studio 11″, Winnipeg, MB, to record a song for the Canadian Forces in support of the troops comming home (change of mission) in 2011. Elton was selected by the Canadian Military to write and record a song for the troops.
Jan 6 2011: The Canadian Forces Army News Team, films Elton’s new music video, “Lock and Load” at Studio 11, Winnipeg MB.
Mar 4 2011 : The Canadian Forces Army News Team release’s Elton’s new song and music video, “Lock and Load” via youtube and CF site army.froces.gc.ca.

Apr 5 2011: Elton receives an hand written “Thank-you” letter from the Canadian Forces CDS for his song and music video, “Lock and Load”.
June-December 2011: Eton deploys back to Afghanistan.
Jan 5 2012: Elton returns to Winnipegs’s Studio 11 to cut his 14th song, “MY CANADIAN GIRLS”…….
Jan 22 2012: Elton Releases his new single, “My Canadian Girls” featuring Canadian country star, Julian Austin, on HOOAH-Radio..
